Barack Obama Loves Communist Ideas

Posted by Thunder Pig on July 27, 2008

For those who claim to love liberty, consider these words of Barack “Fidel Castro” Obama:

Basically, what Obama is talking about is creating a Committee for the Defense of Liberal Ideology and Political correctness funded by a half trillion taxpayer dollars. National Security for this crowd is not about stopping terrorists from killing our children. National Security means to teach our children to understand the terrorists and their motivations so that our children can learn how to live their lives submissively so as not to offend the sensitivities of the very sensitive America haters.

Their version of National Security is to force you to act for the common good of society and not in your own best interest. Since this goes against human nature, the half trillion dollar “Civilian National Security Force” will have to force Americans to change their nature and create a new citizen that is self sacrificing and collective in nature-an ant-like new man, like Che’s and Fidel’s new man.

More, from another source:

In his campaign document entitled “The Blueprint for Change: Barack Obama’s Plan For America,” Obama’s “Service” section runs a close second to “Education” in complexity. But, with his Colorado Springs’ statement, it grabbed first place in its projected costs to taxpayers. Obama did the cost projection himself.

He plans to double the Peace Corps’ budget by 2011, and expand AmeriCorps, USA Freedom Corps, VISTA, YouthBuild Program, and the Senior Corps. Plus, he proposes to form a Classroom Corps, Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, Veterans Corps, Homeland Security Corps, Global Energy Corps, and a Green Jobs Corps. Here a corps – there a corps – everywhere a corps corps.

So it made sense in Colorado Springs when he said his call to community service “will be a central cause of my presidency.” He couldn’t be clearer in signaling his intentions, including a Social Investment Fund Network to link local non-profits with the federal government.

The entire plan is breathtaking in its scope. But it does not, as at least one internet writer has suggested, portend a “giant police force.” It would be easier to rebut if it did. As it is, it’s silly stuff born of naively fanciful dreams.

Senator Obama aims to tap into the already active volunteerism of millions of Americans and recruit them to become cogs in a gigantic government machine grinding out his social re-engineering agenda. It’s Orwellian-like, with a novice social activist’s mentality at the helm…

Commentary

I can think that an Obama Presidency would combine the very worst aspects of FDR’s experiment in socialism and Woodrow Wilson’s experiment in fascism:

Indeed, in a disturbing 1890 essay entitled Leaders of Men, Wilson said that a “true leader” uses the masses of people like “tools.” He writes, “The competent leader of men cares little for the internal niceties of other people’s characters: he cares much–everything–for the external uses to which they may be put…. He supplies the power; others supply only the materials upon which that power operates…. It is the power which dictates, dominates; the materials yield. Men are as clay in the hands of the consummate leader.” So much for the dignity of each person!

These are going to be some of the points I will be hammering home to people in the days until the election…and, for the life of me, I cannot understand why someone would vote for Bob Barr when their vote would be better served casting it for the only person in a position to defeat Barack Obama…John McCain.

Arapaho County Prepares for DNC Protestors

Posted by Thunder Pig on June 26, 2008

The law enforcement authorities in Denver, Colorado are being very proactive regarding the legions of anarchists, communists, progressives, and other freaks known as Democrats descend upon Denver in an attempt to “Recreate ’68“.

They have passed an ordinance that makes it unlawful for protesters to possess large sticks, whether they be metal or wooden, gas masks or projectile launchers.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — No large sticks and no poles. Those are the rules approved Tuesday by the Arapahoe County Board of County Commissioners for protesters surrounding the Democratic National Convention.

“As we were planning for our efforts toward the DNC it became obvious to us that this was a public safety gap that needed to be filled,” said Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson.

# The ordinance makes it unlawful for anyone in unincorporated Arapahoe County who is involved in a demonstration, rally or picket line or similar public assembly to:

# possess any metal, hard plastic or wood object that is sharpened or that exceeds the allowed dimensions set forth in the ordinance (no longer than 2 feet)

# possess any type of projectile launcher
possess a gas mask

Demonstrators said they understand the need for safety, but believe this ordinance goes too far.

“A gas mask can never be used to hurt somebody, it is not an offensive thing,” said Glenn Spagnuolo with Recreate 68. “It can only be used to protect somebody from being injured.”

Commentary

I hope that these nuts are able to mount a large protest effort that will show regular Americans just how nutty the Democrat Party has become. I have also been monitoring some forums where delegates to the DNC are planning to mount Direct Actions inside the convention itself. This will be a convention to remember, and savor the nuttiness of the left.

Here is a video from the Communism Now Newscast about the planned DNC protest from this past April:

Barack Obama Uses Marxist Catch Phrase To Attack Critics

Posted by Thunder Pig on May 16, 2008

The phrase? “politics of fear”, and you can read more about it at Gateway Pundit.

Of course, living near Asheville, half the Democrats are outright Marxists, so I hear that term bandied about a lot, especially by bloggers and Marxist professors, some of whom are quite fond of saying that people should only make so much money, after which point the tax rate should be 100%.

In my opinion, nearly the entirety of the Democrat Party is Marxist, and a goodly portion of the Republican Party has gone Marxist, along with former libertarians, who I refer to as Progressitarians. This is all to sad, for they have all fallen for the false dichotomy of using the Hegelian dialectic to define themselves, and their political outlook on life.

This is the fondness of “reaching across the aisle”, and “building consensus” where, according to the theory, thesis (left) and anti-thesis (right) come together, either in negotiation or conflict, and a synthesis results. Bill Clinton is fond of calling it the “Third Way” and Barack Obama presents himself as an “agent of change”.

Don’t fall for it people. These people are so wrapped up in their ideology, they don’t realize that their language gives them away to those who know what to look for…catch phrases, and outlooks…and the overwhelming desire to talk about what the government can do to make your life better.

How To Catch Wild Pigs

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 22, 2008

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some Exchange students in the class.
One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student)who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, ‘Do you know how to catch wild pigs?’

Read the rest, and consider yourself warned.

Auchi, Rezko, Obama: "Who Are They?

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 20, 2008

Hold on to your hat and your lunch:

Who is Mr. Auchi?

Who is Mr. Auchi? A British billionaire living in London, born in Iraq in 1937. And why would he, as it is alleged, lend money via a Panama company, Fintrade Services — of which his wife, Ibtisam Auchi, is said to be a director — to a freshmen U. S. senator from Illinois just a few months after he is sworn in as a very junior member of what was then a Democratic minority?

Who is Mr. Auchi, said to be the 279th richest man in the world, that he would provide through his overseas company wire transfers of $3,499,471 in April 2007, and another $200,000 in July 2007, to Antoin “Tony” Rezko, an indicted Chicago developer accused of defrauding Illinois citizens of at least $6 million? Rezko is a successful and veteran fundraiser for, among others, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and U.S. Senator Barack Obama.

Who is Mr. Auchi that he would be in business at least since 2003 with the Syrian-born American citizen Mr. Rezko, a man who is by the most forgiving accounts an undercapitalized Chicago developer; the same Mr. Rezko who proposed to the lionized British developer Mr. Auchi a joint development for a vacant a 62-acre tract along the Chicago River in downtown Chicago into which eventually Mr. Auchi invested, through his primary company, General Mediterranean Holdings (GMH), at least $170 million, sharing possession with the politically connected and pizza parlor-owning Mr. Rezko?

–SNIP–

Who is Mr. Auchi — in connection with whom is it alleged that two websites belonging to GMH holdings have deleted information on Mr. Auchi’s April 2004 visit to Illinois when Mr. Auchi met and was photographed with Governor Rod Blagojevich; Illinois State Senate President Emil Jones Jr.; the Mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick; Mr. Auchi’s business partner, Mr. Rezko, and, it is speculated, the then-State Senator and Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, Barack Obama?

Source: John Batchelor, writing in Human Events
Hat Tip: Rezko Watch, where there is even more about Mr. Auchi, including:

The Associated Press reported February 7, 2008, that Christopher Kelly, the head of Illinios Gov. Rod Blagojevich‘s “campaign fund in both of his races for governor and now under federal indictment, pledged all of his shares in a Nevada land partnership as collateral in exchange” in exchange for a loan from Nadhmi Auchi, the “same Iraqi billionaire whose $3.5 million payment” got Antoin “Tony” Rezko, “another member of the governor’s inner circle thrown in jail.”

There is even more “Red” Meat on Obama…especially his mentor, who was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party, USA.

In his biography of Barack Obama, David Mendell writes about Obama’s life as a “secret smoker” and how he “went to great lengths to conceal the habit.” But what about Obama’s secret political life? It turns out that Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a communist.

In his books, Obama admits attending “socialist conferences” and coming into contact with Marxist literature. But he ridicules the charge of being a “hard-core academic Marxist,” which was made by his colorful and outspoken 2004 U.S. Senate opponent, Republican Alan Keyes.

However, through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just “Frank.”

The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What’s more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations.

Trevor Loudon, a New Zealand-based libertarian activist, researcher and blogger, noted evidence that “Frank” was Frank Marshall Davis in a posting in March of 2007.

Related: Trevor Loudon’s March 2007 blog post, which preserves part of the curiously now missing article from the University of Hawaii’s website.

Without the rise of the bloggers, this is one piece of information that would be allowed to fall into the memory hole and be forgotten. Not any more. I also expect efforts to be made to censor, or co-opt, bloggers to limit their effectiveness…and control their output. Back to our story:

There is more about the disturbing implementation of a Global Poverty Tax, administered by the United Nations: [I have the audio of this somewhere]

RUSH: We have uncovered something. We have dug deep and we have found something Obama has done. It is called Senate Bill 2433, the Global Poverty Act of 2007. Senate Bill 2433, the Global Poverty Act of 2007, would “require the President to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the United States foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.”

Cliff Kincaid, in Accuracy in Media, has studied this, and has written it up. He says “[A] hugely expensive bill called the ‘Global Poverty Act,’ sponsored by … Obama, was quickly passed by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. … In a column [that Cliff] posted on the [Accuracy in Media] web site, Kincaid noted that Senator Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was trying to rush Obama’s ‘Global Poverty Act’ (S. 2433) through his committee without hearings. The legislation would commit the US to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the US already spends,” on foreign aid. “It was scheduled for a Thursday vote but was moved up a day, to Wednesday, and rushed through by voice vote. Kincaid learned, however, that conservative Senators have now put a ‘hold’ on the legislation, in order to prevent it from being rushed to the floor for a full Senate vote.” Now, the House passed this bill in September. It’s now getting rushed through the committee in the Senate, the Biden committee, to soak the US taxpayers again to fund global, liberal, feel-good garbage.

Senator Obama wrote the bill. This is just the tip of the iceberg, should he win. This is the kind of stuff he wants to do: Blame the United States for the problems of the world; meet with all the thugs and the bad guys, and say, “What’s wrong with us? What can we fix to make you like us?” while he’s out there talking about these platitudinous, vapid change speeches where he says nothing. By the way, I find it very interesting that Senator Biden was trying to rush this through the committee without hearings and to get this thing to the floor. Would this not have been a great thing for Obama to be able to talk about on the presidential campaign trail? When people say he hadn’t done anything and he’s got no record, he could say, “Well, I have! I have a Global Poverty Act! We’re going to cure poverty around the world.” “Oh, he’s so wonderful! Obama is going to end poverty.” And, of course, who knows what Mrs. Clinton’s reaction would have been. The point is, there is substance to Obama, and it isn’t good, from our standpoint.

It is now appearing that Obama would be an even easier candidate to face in 2008 than Hillary. I only wish that the GOP had been able to nominate a Reagan Coalition Conservative like Fred Thompson, or even Mitt Romney…

The matchup between Obama and McCain would still be a study in contrasts. In the 1980’s, Barack Obama was a community organizer while John McCain served in the US House (AZ-01) and then the US Senate from 1986.

Even Obama’s wife is an unrepentant America-hating lefty.

One thing we can look forward to is that Obama is our dragon-slayer who will, we hope, prove easy to dispatch in November…in effect killing two birds with one stone.

One thing we must remember about lefties is that they believe that proper government policy can solve all our problems, often through the use of citizen “soviets” or councils of citizens working in concert with elected officials. It is very insidious, and gives progressives a big foot in the policy wonk door of local politics.

I’ll leave you with a quote from Ronald Reagan that tells us all we need to know about government policy:

“Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem.”
Ronald Reagan

The Marxists Behind The Anti-War Protests

Posted by Thunder Pig on October 4, 2007

Saturday’s protest, sponsored by the Troops Out Now Coalition, came two weeks after an antiwar event sponsored by the ANSWER Coalition, which drew roughly 10,000 people. ANSWER also sponsored a rally in March.

The groups’ agendas are similar, opposing what they call “imperialist” U.S. policy not only in Iraq but toward countries like Cuba and Iran — which has alienated some supporters.

“There’s all of these peripheral issues that you’re going to be associated with, whether you want to or not,” said Hamilton College history professor Maurice Isserman.

Both groups’ leaders were associated with the Workers World Party, which advocates a shift toward a Soviet-style planned economy. But a 2004 dispute prompted some members to form the splinter Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Members of the splinter group stayed active in the ANSWER Coalition, and the remaining members of the Workers World Party formed the Troops Out Now Coalition, Troops Out Now spokesman Dustin Langley said.

Rally Recap: The Enemy Among Us

Posted by Thunder Pig on September 17, 2007

My internet connection crapped out over the weekend, so I couldn’t follow the rallies like I wanted to, and here is the guide to coverage of them.

Gateway Pundit has a few links, and an interesting bit of reporting on Cindy Sheehag:

Cindy Sheehan in true Leftist fashion called for mass resistance against the government yesterday since the “peaceful” tactics were not working so well.

Cindy can go ahead and call for “mass resistance”, or even “mass protests” because they will fall on deaf ears. The people of America support our troops, and support the war effort because they have not turned out into the streets in protest—except for the weirdos who already hate America anyway, like the Communist A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition.

Who Says Lefties Aren’t Commies?

Posted by Thunder Pig on August 27, 2007

I found this thread on Daily Kos as the Kos Kidz discuss Marx, and how it is wise to discuss his theories without giving proper attribution to him on account of the polarized politics.

He is a great economic & social historian, (8+ / 0-)

from whom much is to be learned; although as an economic theorist — in the sense that he prescribes an idealized system — I downgrade him. That is of course no denigration, since I downgrade most economic theorists of whatever political stripe — excepting only the odd couple of Adam Smith and Keynes.

The problem with espousing Marx, unfortunately, is that it is political poison in today’s polarized atmosphere. He should be studied for the enormous lessons he can teach us — paradoxically, he must at the same time be kept under wraps. My experience is that much of his doctrine would play with great popularity, if only it be not identified as his.

The Battle Against 21st Century Communism

Posted by Thunder Pig on June 8, 2007

Fjordman is blogging at the Gates of Vienna again, so go read what he has to say on a series of subjects near and dear to my heart, Defending Liberty and Resisting Oppression:

Perhaps the new frontier of liberty in the 21st century consists of
battling for national sovereignty in legislation, for a nation’s right to decide
how much immigration it wants to accept, if any, and the fight against the
imposition of quotas, hate speech laws, hate crime legislation and other threats
to the individual’s right to free speech and to defense of his own property, the
yardstick against which liberty should always be measured
.

And a Supporting Comment led me to this wonderful observation:

The original strategy to destroy America, employed by the Frankfort School,
came from Italian Communist Antonio Gramsci who realized that in order to
achieve a Socialist victory, cultural institutions would have to be infiltrated
and subverted. Gramsci realized that America, steeped in traditions of freedom
and liberty, would never to succumb to a frontal assault and its workers were
too busy accumulating capital to allow themselves to be used as cannon fodder
for a bloody revolution.
Theodor Adorno
The Frankfort School would patent
the familiar “Critical Theory” which was accurately defined by a student as the
“essentially destructive criticism of all the main elements of Western culture,
including Christianity, capitalism, authority, the family, patriarchy,
hierarchy, morality, tradition, sexual restraint, loyalty, patriotism,
nationalism, heredity, ethnocentrism, convention, and conservatism.” Under
Critical Theory, anything emanating from the west is to be libeled and attacked
over and over again while at the same time, anything emerging from a
“progressive” country or group is to be applauded including the murder of over
100 million people. All blame for societal and economic ills are to be shifted
to the west.
The saturating drumbeat of Critical Theory would lead to
“Cultural Pessimism” which is when a person grows to loathe the society, which
nurtured him and provided him unprecedented levels of success. This describes
the attitude of so many leftists living in comfort and safety yet viewing
America, the society that made their lifestyle possible, with hatred and
contempt. I am amazed by the degree in which both Critical Theory and Cultural
Pessimism has been internalized by all of us.

And the end of the article:

The forth horseman, Brandeis professor Herbert Marcuse, was the pied piper of the sixties as he fostered the development of, as Buchanan points out, “radical youth, feminists, black militants, homosexuals, the alienated, the asocial, Third World revolutionaries, all the angry voices of the persecuted ‘victims’ of the West.” In “Eros and Civilization” Marcuse encouraged sex and drugs and introduced “polymorphous perversity” where all moral and cultural order is rejected. Marcuse coined the slogan “Make love not war” and was a cult figure on College campuses. His book “i” advocates educational dictatorship. He calls for “Repressive Tolerance” which means “intolerance against movements from the right, and toleration of movements from the left.” When the left speaks of tolerance, this is what they mean.

The Frankfurt School would mainstream the dicktat of the Moscow Central Committee laid down in 1943. This declaration, right from the horse’s mouth, illustrates exactly what were up against:

“Members and front organizations must continually embarrass, discredit and degrade our critics. When obstructionists become too irritating, label them as fascist, or Nazi or anti-Semitic…The association will, after enough repetition, become ‘fact’ in the public mind.”

The last last paragraph explains nearly the whole of tactics used by the left in their arguments.
