Media: Sexual Impropriety Is Okay For Democrats Why They Refuse To Cover Edwards Love Child

Posted by Thunder Pig on July 24, 2008

Yesterday, I ran a story from the National Enquirer (courtesy The Drudge Report) about John Edwards spending the night with his mistress, and the Legacy Media did not.

Jack Shafer at Slate has a story on the non-story:

When the original Enquirer story about the affair with Rielle Hunter came out, Edwards categorically denied the relationship, stating: “The story is false. It’s completely untrue, ridiculous.” As he rejected the Enquirer‘s charges, Edwards was making his wife and their marriage a central component of his campaign. If Edwards had had no affair, he wasn’t a hypocrite, not then and not now.

But if Edwards had an affair and lied about it, shouldn’t he suffer scrutiny akin to that of Craig? At least three-dozen daily newspapers in the United States published the Craig news the day after the Roll Call scoop, according to Nexis, but this morning not a single U.S. daily mentioned the Enquirer piece.

Commentary

I can guarantee you if John Edwards had been a Republican, every person on the planet would know about it, and would know the name of his illegitimate child.

The Legacy Media is very biased about what they report, and act as Gate Keepers to protect their fellow travelers. This is why newspapers are hurting, and part of the reason the network news are losing viewers. People are catching on, and seeking the news themselves on the Internet…at least the younger ones.

TIME Magazine: "We Love High Gas Prices!"

Posted by Thunder Pig on July 17, 2008

I kid you not, and they prove it by coming up with an article entitled Ten Things You Can Like About $4 Gas.

Here are their ten things (read the article for their excuses):

  1. Globalized Jobs Return Home
  2. Sprawl Stalls
  3. Four-Day Workweeks
  4. Less Pollution
  5. More Frugality
  6. Fewer Traffic Deaths
  7. Cheaper Insurance
  8. Less Traffic
  9. More Cops On The Beat
  10. Less Obesity

ObaMarx Campaign Logo

All these things add up to one thing, the TIME is in the tank for the Democrats, and the Democrat goal of controlling every aspect of your lives. Remember how the Legacy Media strated running stories about how good it was to lie, and the benefits that came from lying when it became apparent to all that Bill Clinton was lying about Monica Lewinsky?

This is the same sort of thing. Expect future articles on how sitting down with muggers over a cup of coffee is good for you and the mugger, and how Obama bin Laden is just a misunderstood Freedom Fighter who should be invited to sit down with President Barack Osama to “find common ground”. (Yes, I really wrote an intentional Spoonerism).

Lefties Realize Olberman, Obama Were Faking It On FISA

Posted by Thunder Pig on June 27, 2008

Keith Olbermann on FISA earlier this year…he was against it before he was for it!

On January 31 of this year, Keith Olbermann donned his most serious face and most indignant voice tone to rail against George Bush for supporting telecom immunity and revisions to FISA. In a 10-minute “Special Comment,” the MSNBC star condemned Bush for wanting to “retroactively immunize corporate criminals,” and said that telecom immnity is “an ex post facto law, which would clear the phone giants from responsibility for their systematic, aggressive and blatant collaboration with [Bush’s] illegal and unjustified spying on Americans under this flimsy guise of looking for any terrorists who are stupid enough to make a collect call or send a mass email.”

Olbermann added that telecom amnesty was a “shameless, breathless, literally textbook example of Fascism — the merged efforts of government and corporations that answer to no government.”

Source: Glenn Greenwald

And, when confronted with Obama’s acceptance of FISA, Olberman reveals his true colors:

Last night, Olbermann invited Newsweek‘s Jonathan Alter onto his show to discuss Obama’s support for the FISA and telecom amnesty bill (video of the segment is here). There wasn’t a syllable uttered about “immunizing corporate criminals” or “textbook examples of Fascism” or the Third Reich. There wasn’t a word of rational criticism of the bill either. Instead, the two media stars jointly hailed Obama’s bravery and strength — as evidenced by his “standing up to the left” in order to support this important centrist FISA compromise:

<

Now this is too funny!!!

Will the lefties keep on drinking the Obama Koolaid as Olberman has done?

Obama was against immunity before he was for it.

How Many Hate-Filled Pastors Support Obama?

Posted by Thunder Pig on June 3, 2008

I thought that we were done finding hateful preachers that support Obama, but I suppose they are a dime a dozen:

Somebody needs to make a video called “Preachers for Hate, Preachers for Obama”

Hat Tip: Theodore’s World

Commentary

You know, if just one preacher could be dug up that were as close to McCain as these guys are to Obama, who preached just one sermon blaming black people for the problems in America, or some other racial slur…McCain would be hoisted on a spit by the Legacy Media (TV, Print, Radio) and slow-cooked.

The Legacy Media is in the tank for Obama…and here I see an opportunity for the New Media, especially the conservative outlets to shine this year, and gain some market share for reporting what the Legacy Media Types won’t.

And one more thing, ever notice how Obama’s Pastors sound an awful lot like the President of Iran? Now there is a video waiting to be made.

Another Hateful, Cursing Pastor at Obama’s Church Updated With The Rezko Watch Hotlist for 5/31 and 6/01

Posted by Thunder Pig on May 31, 2008

Where do these people come from? And why is their hate tolerated and excused by the Legacy Media?

Could it be that they are so in the tank for Obama that they will tell any lie, ignore any crime, dismiss anything to get their anointed one elected?

Glenn Beck and NewsBusters Expose Global Warming Bullies

Posted by Thunder Pig on April 10, 2008

Last week, the BBC ran an article talking about how global temperatures haven’t increased since 1998–an objective fact. But facts don’t matter to the environmentalist wacko crowd. Angry about the article, an activist threatened the BBC reporter who caved almost immediately and censored himself.

Video is of NewsBusters associate editor Noel Sheppard on the April 8, 2008 edition of “Glenn Beck” on CNN Headline News discussing media bias on global warming.

I can hear lefty heads exploding across the land as their lies become exposed, and you can expect their attempts at censorship to only increase. That is, until they can open their Stalinist Re-education Camps!

New York Slimes Spins On Iraq Attacks

Posted by Thunder Pig on March 12, 2008

BAGHDAD — Newly declassified statistics on the frequency of insurgent attacks in Iraq suggest that after major security gains last fall in the wake of an American troop increase, the conflict has drifted into a stalemate, with levels of violence remaining stubbornly constant from November 2007 through early 2008.

The new figures, presented Tuesday at a Senate hearing in Washington by David M. Walker, the top official at the Government Accountability Office, emerged a day after eight American soldiers were killed in bomb attacks, five in downtown Baghdad and three in Diyala Province. And the trend appeared to continue Tuesday, as bombings and small-arms attacks led to casualties among Iraqi civilians and security forces in or near at least eight cities.

Stalemate ?!? I bet the New York Times would have called for us to surrender to the Germans during The Battle of the Bulge.

Just look at the graphic (available at a larger size at the above link) and note the very dramatic decline in insurgent attacks after the troop surge began in Feb of 2007. No wonder the Democrats shirted tactics to focusing on the political situation in Iraq. Now that the political situation is improving, I wonder where they will retreat to next?

Aren’t you glad that we did not listen to Harry “The War Is Lost” Reid last April?

New York Slimes Tries To Slime McCain AGAIN!

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 28, 2008

You wouldn’t know that the Times recently endorsed McCain for President by their recent attempts to derail his campaign. First, they re-printed an old, already discounted rumor. Second, they question his eligibility to become President.

Idiots. Is there not one editor at that paper who has not had a class on US History, where the US Constitution is studied?

Am I more intelligent than the editors of that paper?

The latest sliming by the Times was forwarded to me by a local lefty blogger.

WASHINGTON — The question has nagged at the parents of Americans born outside the continental United States for generations: Dare their children aspire to grow up and become president? In the case of Senator John McCain of Arizona, the issue is becoming more than a matter of parental daydreaming.

Mr. McCain’s likely nomination as the Republican candidate for president and the happenstance of his birth in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936 are reviving a musty debate that has surfaced periodically since the founders first set quill to parchment and declared that only a “natural-born citizen” can hold the nation’s highest office.

Almost since those words were written in 1787 with scant explanation, their precise meaning has been the stuff of confusion, law school review articles, whisper campaigns and civics class debates over whether only those delivered on American soil can be truly natural born. To date, no American to take the presidential oath has had an official birthplace outside the 50 states.

Commentary

I responded thusly:

I see the New York Slimes lives down to it’s poor reputation and is bereft of knowledge common to me since High School US History Class, and a simple reading of the US Constitution by anyone with half a brain. (I know today that seems to exclude the majority).

In recent history, three people have run for President who were born outside the Union proper, George Romney (born in Mexico), Barry Goldwater(born in Arizona before it became a state), and John McCain (born in the Panama Canal Zone to US Parents, one of whom was serving in the military).

You may argue that the Canal Zone is no longer US Territory (thanks, Jimmah), but Art 1, § 9 and Art. 1 § 10 prevent an ex post facto conviction. So, yes, he WAS born in the United States, even though it is no longer our territory. [Eligible #1]

McCain is a natural-born citizen under 8 USC 1401(c): “a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents both of whom are citizens of the United States and one of whom has had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions, prior to the birth of such person.” [Eligible #2]

I could go on, but there is no need. This does, however, give me an opportunity to note that the New York Times is engaged in tabloid journalism, creating controversies where none exist, and attacking a candidate for public office to the right of their position.

The question is settled law.

Feel free to email me if you have any further elementary questions regarding the US Constitution.

I had those references already on file due to having run across this problem before by reading through the fevered swamps of several Ron Paul forums [1] [2], and the equally fevered ramblings of Ted Samply, who (if he believes his allegations) should have pursued his crapola to get McCain removed from the Senate…and not wait until the man has the GOP Nomination locked up.

Singing Through The Qassams

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 10, 2008

Here is more on how the Israelis are coping with the deadly rain of Qassams (or Kassams, if you prefer) on Israeli civilians from the Gaza Strip. First, here is a video of children singing their way through the attacks, probably much like some English children did though the Blitz when the Germans were bombing London during World War II:

The next item deals with two children who were wounded by a Qassam rocket fired into their town by Paleostinians:

Anger boiled over in Sderot on Saturday night as residents took to the streets, demanding that the government take stronger steps against the rocket fire from Gaza following a Kassam strike that shattered one local family’s Shabbat.

Two brothers from Sderot, aged eight and 19, were seriously wounded and two other members of their family were also hospitalized when a rocket fired from northern Gaza – one of almost four dozen launched this weekend – struck two meters from where the boys were standing.

Eyewitnesses said the brothers were walking when the first rocket slammed into the ground two meters from eight-year-old Osher Twito and his 19-year-old brother, Rami.

Some at the scene said that the Color Red warning siren sounded only after the first rocket had already struck. One man said that he and his friends ran to the attack site and saw the boys lying on the ground and bleeding, with Osher screaming: “Save me, save me!”

Magen David Adom teams rushed Rami and Osher to Ashkelon’s Barzilai Hospital, where the 19-year-old’s condition was upgraded to moderate while doctors operated to save the life of the younger boy, who suffered severe shrapnel wounds to both of his legs.

The brothers’ mother and 15-year-old brother were also hospitalized at Barzilai, where they were treated for shock.

Five rockets were fired during the barrage; three – including the one that hit near the Twito family – struck the western Negev town.

Source: Israel Matzav, also the source of the video in this post.

And, lastly, an UAV captured footage of 2 IDF Officers and two Palestinian Terrorists engaged in hand-to-hand combat. Needless to say the Palestinian Terrorists are killed:

How much of this gets reported in the Legacy Media? Very little. Why would the Legacy Media not report this? The seem to report every terrorist killed by Israel, and refuse to call them terrorists, merely militants. I’ll try to remember that the next time they refer to some lefty protesters or Black Panthers as militants…knowing that the two are equivalent in their lexicon.

And now, we find out that part of Israel’s odd reticence to deal with the terrorists in Gaza and the 2006 Lebanon War, and the subsequent coverup, were due to an inept government bureaucracy wishing to maintain its hold on power. They were afraid that Bibi Netanyahu would have been elected if the full extent of their incompetence were widely known.
I am worried about how well Israel will be able to defend itself because we may be electing someone (Barack Obama) who may be anti-Israel in November. Then, there is the Calypso Louis factor, and the under-reporting of that Obama has embraced the idea of capitulating to Islam.

Given this, if Obama became the Democrat nominee, I’d have to fight against for those concerns alone.
