How Many Hate-Filled Pastors Support Obama?

Posted by Thunder Pig on June 3, 2008

I thought that we were done finding hateful preachers that support Obama, but I suppose they are a dime a dozen:

Somebody needs to make a video called “Preachers for Hate, Preachers for Obama”

Hat Tip: Theodore’s World

Commentary

You know, if just one preacher could be dug up that were as close to McCain as these guys are to Obama, who preached just one sermon blaming black people for the problems in America, or some other racial slur…McCain would be hoisted on a spit by the Legacy Media (TV, Print, Radio) and slow-cooked.

The Legacy Media is in the tank for Obama…and here I see an opportunity for the New Media, especially the conservative outlets to shine this year, and gain some market share for reporting what the Legacy Media Types won’t.

And one more thing, ever notice how Obama’s Pastors sound an awful lot like the President of Iran? Now there is a video waiting to be made.

Another Hateful, Cursing Pastor at Obama’s Church Updated With The Rezko Watch Hotlist for 5/31 and 6/01

Posted by Thunder Pig on May 31, 2008

Where do these people come from? And why is their hate tolerated and excused by the Legacy Media?

Could it be that they are so in the tank for Obama that they will tell any lie, ignore any crime, dismiss anything to get their anointed one elected?

The Final Solution

Posted by Thunder Pig on April 30, 2008

Tomorrow is Yom Hazikaron la Shoah ve-Gvuta, or Yom HaShoah for those of us can’t speak Hebrew. It means Remembrance Day for the Holocaust and Heroism. Schedule.

Tomorrow at 10.00am Israel Time everything will stop for two minutes during which time air raid sirens will sound throughout Israel to remember the 6 million dead Jewish victims of Adolf Hitler.

Six million Jews, among them one-and-a-half million children, were murdered in the Shoah while the world remained silent. The worldwide Holocaust memorial project “Unto Every Person There is a Name”, now in its nineteenth consecutive year, is a unique project designed to perpetuate their memory as individuals and restore their identity and dignity, through the public recitation of their names on Yom Hashoah – Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day. By personalizing the individual tragedies of the Jewish victims of Nazi Germany and its collaborators, this project counters persistent efforts by enemies of the State of Israel and the Jewish people to deny the reality of the Holocaust and cast it as history’s seminal hoax. “Unto Every Person” also defies attempts to universalize this genocide and cast off its principal characteristic as a unique calamity of the Jewish people, while also building appreciation of the Shoah’s tragic impact on the Jewish reality until today.

There are even groups locally. I will not link to them. The point of the last few links is that it can happen again, and we must be ever vigilant in the fight against these evil people. We must never allow them to accumulate power in our nation. It is to our discredit that their brethren have been allowed to accumulate power in the Middle East.

Nation of Islam Provides Security to Obama’s Pastor

Posted by Thunder Pig on April 29, 2008

Speaking before an audience that included Marion Barry, Cornel West, Malik Zulu Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party and Nation of Islam official Jamil Muhammad, Wright praised Louis Farrakhan, defended the view that Zionism is racism, accused the United States of terrorism, repeated his view that the government created the AIDS virus to cause the genocide of racial minorities, stood by other past remarks (”God damn America”) and held himself out as a spokesman for the black church in America.

In front of 30 television cameras, Wright’s audience cheered him on as the minister mocked the media and, at one point, did a little victory dance on the podium. It seemed as if Wright, jokingly offering himself as Obama’s vice president, was actually trying to doom Obama; a member of the head table, American Urban Radio’s April Ryan, confirmed that Wright’s security was provided by bodyguards from Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam.

If Obama survives Hillary, he will (through his very poor choice of associations, his ugly Black Liberation Theology, and his far leftist progressivism) doom the Democrat Party to a defeat that will rival the thrashing it took with McGovern on the ticket. The Democrat Party has an unlikely hero in Hillary Rodham Clinton. Only she can save them from defeat.

Thanks to Operation C.H.A.O.S., she will be just as damaged as Barack Hussein Obama, now, and in 2012. It’s too bad that we are stuck with John Sidney Mccain III. I hope that Democrats and Independents will remember what they got in return for screwing up our primaries this year. Stay out of ours, and we’ll stay out of yours. Payback’s a….

And…Wright is the gift that keeps on giving…

The Seeds of Destruction

Posted by Thunder Pig on April 13, 2008

The ongoing destruction of Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential continues…

Rezko Watch has a wealth of interesting video, audio, and links to more information about Snobgate, where Obama’s remarks have revealed how he feels about rural Americans.

“One of the great pleasures of running for president is to go to some tiny town in Iowa and you’ve got some guy in overalls and a seahat to say what do you think about the situation in Burma, and you’re thinking that he’s going to ask you about corn, and he asks you about Burma.”Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), November 27, 2007, foreign policy forum, Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Another blog, Obama Watch, reports the words of Obama (Snobama):

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations

and reports on the observations of other bloggers on Snobgate.

And Gateway Pundit updated us with this gem:

This is the height of hypocrisy from a man who attended a church of hatred for 20 years.
Who himself is…

1) anti-trade – except for Commie Cuba which goes along with his commie mentor and friends
2) clings to false religion of hateful, black liberation theology for 20 years
3) antipathy towards people unlike him. attends a race-baiting, conspiracy-laden, false teaching, anti-Christian “black values only” church.
4) will talk to criminal tyrants around the world, including Syria, Iran, Cuba(commies, extremist islamic zealots), but refuses to even meet with a democratically elected President of Columbia who has lifted Columbia out of civil war, reduced violence, reconciled many different people, where millions rally for him, who has expanded freedoms and liberty in justice, media and work, who has protected the people from Communist FARC cocaine drug pushers who buy weapons from the sell of illegal drugs to Americans. Anti-Trade Obama for those “unlike him”
5) refuses to vote for a free-trade agreement to lift tarriffs on goods sold to Columbia that increase jobs for Americans.

What is really entertaining is to watch Obama’s Apologists dance and twist and blame other people, a classic example of misdirection and ad hominem:

Hillary Clinton, because her campaign is desperate, and John McCain, because he’s a Republican, have both jumped on this statement. Accusations of a Barack Obama being an elitist (McCain may be the richest man in the Senate and Hillary Clinton who made over $109 million in the last 7 years are calling Obama elitist – that’s rich…pun intended) and not respecting gunowners or religious God-fearing people have been recklessly thrown out.

The above blogger is just a hater, and spreader of hate, plain and simple.

Bottom line: Obama was either pandering to West Coast Elitists, or he meant what he said. Either way…his credibility is shot. His Campaign slogan should read “The Audacity of Hate”…

Obama Blew It

Posted by Thunder Pig on March 20, 2008

Tim Rutten’s column, “Obama’s Lincoln moment” and The Times editorial, “Obama on race” both miss the mark.

In my considered judgment as a race and civil rights specialist, I would say that Barack Obama’s “momentous” speech on race settled on merely “explaining” so-called racial differences between blacks and whites — and in so doing amplified deep-seated racial tensions and divisions. Instead of giving us a polarizing treatise on the “black experience,” Obama should have reiterated the theme that has brought so many to his campaign: That race ain’t what it used to be in America.

He should have presented us a pathway out of our racial boxes and a road map for new thinking about race. He should have depicted his minister, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., as a symbol of the dysfunctional angry men who are stuck in the past and who must yield to a new generation of color-blind, hopeful Americans and to a new global economy in which we will look on our neighbors’ skin color no differently than how we look on their eye color.

In fact, I’d say that considering the nation’s undivided attention to this all-important speech, which gave him an unrivaled opportunity to lift us out of racial and racist thinking, Obama blew it.

Source: Michael Myers, writing in the LA Times
Hat Tip: Mark Levin

I especially agree with his concluding paragraph…I’ll steal a couple of sentences from it here:

We can’t be united as a nation if we continue to think racially and give credence to racial experiences and differences based on ethnicity, past victim status and stereotypical categories. All of these prejudices surrounding tribe-against-tribe are old-hat and dysfunctional — especially the rants of ministers, of whatever skin color or religion, who appeal to our base prejudices and to superstitions about our supposed racial differences.

Watch Obama Speech on Race Relations Live

Posted by Thunder Pig on March 18, 2008

Democrat Barack Obama is seeking to distance himself from statements by his longtime pastor that have aggravated racial divisions in the contentious Democratic primary battle. He is calling for both sides to tone down their rhetoric.

The Illinois senator is using a speech at a site near the nation’s birthplace to present what his campaign said would be a comprehensive take on “race, politics, and unifying our country.” Among other things, the Illinois Democrat was seeking to calm the uproar over racially tinged sermons by his former pastor at Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, remarks that have threatened to undercut Obama’s campaign theme of easing the racial divide.

It’s over, the speech, that is.

The entire text can be found at Real Clear Politics.

I’ll have the audio available soon. Check back.

The Problem With Obama’s Church: Ethnocentric Christian Marxism

Posted by Thunder Pig on March 18, 2008

Beyond the incendiary nature of Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s comments, there is another serious concern about Obama’s church. It is the black liberation theology taught by the church, and it dovetails nicely with his first vocational choice as a community organizer in poor black communities in Chicago.

The church website even points to a 1969 book by Dr. James Cone, “Black Power and Black Theology” as being the basis for their vision statement, which reads:

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian… Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain “true to our native land,” the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

  1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
  2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
  3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
  4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
  5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
  6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
  7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
  8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
  9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
  10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

There are also you tube videos you may watch that explains their view.

Anyone can see the leftist and race-centric (that is PC for racist) philosophy embodied in the statement. Don’t believe me? Re-read their vision and where ever you encounter the word black, replace it with white (or Aryan), and where ever you see Africa, replace it with Europe (or Germany).

We do not tolerate racism from whites, and should not tolerate it from blacks.

Outside the focus on race, the church follows a “liberation theology” that is Marxism masquerading as Christianity. Read more about lefty theology at Sillie Lizzie’s Rock:

“…. liberation theology has been the gateway constructed by leftwing theologians … to bring Christians straight into the Marxist socialist revolution, as if Marx or Marxists really cared about the poor and oppressed, or ever succeeded in elevating them from poverty.

In point of fact, of course, the Marxists, their leftwing theologians, their apologists, and their socialist hangers-on created more poor and more oppressed than the world has ever witnessed throughout its entire existence.

Now, back to Dr. James Cone. He wrote on page 3 of “God of the Oppressed” that my theological reflections are inseparable from the Bearden experience. What I write is urged out of my blood.”[link]

This goes counter to the most basic precept of Christianity, that of forgiveness. That should be no surprise, for the theology of Dr. Cone holds a most un-Biblical view of what sin and salvation is [link]:

In Cone’s view, sin is “a condition of human existence in which man denies the essence of God’s liberating activity as revealed in Jesus Christ.” In this view, sin is anything that is contrary to the oppressed community or its liberation.

Salvation for Cone primarily has to do with earthly reality, not heavenly hopes. “To see the salvation of God is to see this people [i.e., the blacks] rise up against their oppressors, demanding that justice become a reality now and not tomorrow.” Hence, though Cone often speaks of Jesus as the Liberator, in practical terms he emphasizes the human work of self-liberation among blacks and downplays divine help.

So, we can see that Obama’s church is not a “Christian” church in the sense we can recognize. It follows an offshoot of Christianity based on ethnocentrist, and Marxist beliefs wrapped in a covering of Christianity.

Those of us who were shocked by the hatred and profanity spewed out of Reverend Jeremiah’s mouth, recognize that the philosophy that spawns such language is not based in Christ’s love, but in something else entirely. I am currently editing some videos of his speeches to focus on the reaction of others in the audience to his hate…joy and approval.

American Thinker has tackled the same problem I have, and taken a slightly different tack on the problem of Barack Obama’s theological beliefs, and has called it Neoliberal Theocracy.
