Happy Patroit’s Day!!!

Posted by Thunder Pig on April 19, 2008

This is from Theodore’s World:

The incident that precipitated the Alarm was a British raid on the colonial powder stored at the Powder House on the Somerville/Medford line. It was one of several “alarms,” including ones in Marblehead and Portsmouth, NH, that let the Provincials know the British were clamping down on them, militarily, before Lexington and Concord.

People armed were vital to this nation gaining freedom. Now, it’s vital to KEEPING it. One of the reasons the colonists were so pissed, was the British had come to confiscate their guns. Both the American and Texan revolutions began because of an attempt at “gun control”.

Here is a re-enactment video of the events of that fateful day that saw the shot that was heard around the world, and reverberates down to our very day! May we never forget, and may there always be armed citizens ready to fight against tyranny in government.

Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five;
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.

He said to his friend, “If the British march
By land or sea from the town to-night,
Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch
Of the North Church tower as a signal light,—One if by land, and two if by sea;
And I on the opposite shore will be,
Ready to ride and spread the alarm
Through every Middlesex village and farm,
For the country folk to be up and to arm.”

Dutch Court Clears Geert Wilders

Posted by Thunder Pig on April 7, 2008

A Dutch court has ruled that a highly-critical film about Islam is legal, and its maker is allowed to exercise his freedom of expression. The film is called “Fitna”, which can be translated from Arabic as “strife”. It compares Islam to fascism and the Prophet Mohammed to a barbarian.

Islamic groups in the Netherlands had asked the court to ban such comments, arguing they would incite hatred and violence. Muslims were outraged at Dutch MP Geert Wilders’ film. It also accuses the Koran of condoning violence, by intercutting verses from the book with images of terrorist attacks.

And here is the film the Islamists don’t want you to see:

The Israel Project

Posted by Thunder Pig on March 31, 2008

Israel is a nation of free people living in a sea of nations living under tyranny.

Israel embodies democracy, rule of law, anti-racism, religious freedom, rights for women, gays and Arab and Muslim minorities – Israel is one of the most gender integrated regimes in the world, and has had a female prime minister, a female chief justice, a female foreign minister and leading female military officers.

Israel seeks peaceful coexistence while Arabs and Iranians seeks to eliminate Israel, as evidenced by their violent actions including terrorism, voting patterns, replies to polls, political rhetoric, media messages, school textbooks, mosque sermons, wall graffiti, and much else.
The debate regarding the solution to the conflict with the Arab Palestinians is an exercise in futility as long they do not end their civil war, choose democracy over tyranny and terror and stop seeking Israel’s destruction and Islamic global supremacy. Israel is not the root cause of many problems in the Middle East but is a front line in the Islamo-fascist war against all non-Muslims.

Now comes a project for friends of Israel to help that nation combat biased reporting in the Legacy Media. That project is called Israel@60. From the website:

The Israel Project (TIP) is an international non-profit organization devoted to educating the press and the public about Israel while promoting security, freedom and peace. The Israel Project provides journalists, leaders and opinion-makers accurate information about Israel. The Israel Project is not related to any government or government agency.

Our team of trusted Middle East experts and former reporters provides journalists with fact sheets, backgrounders and sources. TIP regularly hosts press briefings featuring leading Israeli spokespeople and analysts that give journalists an opportunity to get information and answers to their questions face-to-face. By providing journalists with the facts, context and visuals they need, TIP causes hundreds of millions of people around the world to see a more positive public face of Israel. This helps protect Israel, reduce anti-Semitism and increase pride in Israel.

The Israel Project has launched a contest to celebrate Israel’s 60th Birthday, and you are invited to participate:

As popular Internet social networks and other Web sites provide dangerous new outlets to glorify murder, ‘martyrdom’ and Iran-backed terrorist agendas, The Israel Project (TIP) is fighting back with an online contest that showcases Israel’s constant commitments to freedom, democratic values and peace.

As part of its new “Israel@60” contest TIP invites all filmmakers, writers and other artists worldwide with a passion for showing the real Israel, to submit entries commemorating Israel’s founding in May 1948.

TIP will award a total of $20,000 to the winning submissions in each of the following formats:

* Television Advertisement (30 Seconds)
* Video (30 seconds – 7 minutes
* Printable Flyer (8 ½ x 11 inches)

Winning entries in the TV and video categories will be posted on, allowing viewers worldwide to see and hear Israel’s 60-year struggle to serve as a model for democratic values and a safe haven for minorities persecuted by its neighbors in the Middle East.

TIP’s newly refurbished Web site provides information in six languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic and Russian. Contest entries will be accepted in all of those languages and must be submitted March 31 – June 30. They must be factually accurate and focus on any topic in The Israel Project’s Israel@60 press kit.

To find out more, please contact the Israel Project.

Obama’s Anger

Posted by Thunder Pig on March 21, 2008

Back in the late 1980s I was on a plane flying out of New Orleans and sitting next to me was a rather interesting and, according to Barack Obama, unusual black man. Friendly, gregarious, and wise beyond his years, we immediately hit it off. I had been working on Vietnamese commercial fishing boats for a few years based in southern Louisiana. The boats were owned by the recent wave of Vietnamese refugees who flooded into the familiar tropical environment after the war. Floating in calm seas out in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, I would hear tearful songs and tales from ex-paratroopers about losing brothers, sisters, parents, children, lovers, and beautiful Vietnam itself to the communists.

In Bayou country I lived on boats and in doublewide trailers, and like the rest of the Vietnamese refugees, I shopped at Wal-Mart and ate a lot of rice. When they arrived in Louisiana the refugees had no money (the money that they had was used to bribe their way out of Vietnam and into refugee camps in Thailand), few friends, and a mostly unfriendly and suspicious local population.

They did however have strong families, a strong work ethic, and the “Audacity of Hope.” Within a generation, with little or no knowledge of English, the Vietnamese had achieved dominance in the fishing industry there and their children were already achieving the top SAT scores in the state.

While I had been fishing my new black friend had been working as a prison psychologist in Missouri, and he was pursuing a higher degree in psychology. He was interested in my story, and after about an hour getting to know each other I asked him point blank why these Vietnamese refugees, with no money, friends, or knowledge of the language could be, within a generation, so successful. I also asked him why it was so difficult to convince young black men to abandon the streets and take advantage of the same kinds of opportunities that the Vietnamese had recently embraced.

His answer, only a few words, not only floored me but became sort of a razor that has allowed me ever since to slice through all of the rhetoric regarding race relations that Democrats shovel our way during election season:

“We’re owed and they aren’t.”

In short, he concluded, “they’re hungry and we think we’re owed. It’s crushing us, and as long as we think we’re owed we’re going nowhere.”

And as long as you stay in the Democrat Party, all you will be fed are greed, hatred, envy, entitlement, and class warfare. It is a diet that will enslave you and your posterity.

That is why people who have come to this country can achieve wealth in a generation while your people continue in mental and spiritual bondage to the Democrat Party.

That is why even a successful black man like this guy is still in bondage, and eager to place blame, and encourage hatred of others as the source of all problems. His heart will fill with hate until one day, his heart will explode, and his body will follow his soul in death. It is so sad.

The Problem With John McCain I

Posted by Thunder Pig on January 20, 2008

First, let me clear the decks on his wartime service…he served our nation well. He behaved honorably during his imprisonment, and torture, at the hands of the Communist Vietnamese. [There are those who claim otherwise…I will not link to them because most of them are 9/11 Twoofers, and I do not consider anyone who is a twoofer to be menatlly competent.]

During his years in the Senate, he has championed pork-busting, denying pork projects for his own state, and stopping some pork projects for other Senators. [According to the St Pete Times, that is a lie.]

That is about all the good things I can say about him.

If he is the nominee of our party, I will find it very difficult to vote for him, and I will not lend him any material, or psychological, support. I will not give his campaign one dime, I will not make one phone call in his behalf.

In fact, I believe I had promised during the Shamnesty debate that I would man the phones for if they had a phone bank I could get to at some point during the campaign.

Here are some demographic numbers based on exit polling in South Carolina:

Veterans: McCain 36, Huckabee 25, Romney 20, Thompson 13
Evangelicals: Huckabee 41, McCain 27, Thompson 14, Romney 11
Independents: McCain 37, Huckabee 23, Paul 15, Romney 14
Conservatives: Huckabee 32, McCain 26, Romney 19, Thompson 17

Source: Race 4 2008

Defeating McCain

The first thing I garner from the above numbers is that either Romney or Thompson must withdraw from the race if we are to deny McCain the nomination. The Thompson Surge began too late. Even though I like him over Romney, the numbers do not support him remaining in the race.

He should withdraw, and throw his support behind Romney.

I see a Romney-Thompson 2008 Ticket as the best I can hope for at this point.

Reason Number One

There are many reasons McCain must be denied the nomination. Here is the first:

  1. McCain-Feingold [1] [2] [3]

Senator John McCain co-wrote, and championed a piece of legislation that did severe damage to the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Should I ever be ruled to fall under it’s provisions, this is one law I will not obey, even under force of arms.

…there will be more forthcoming…

Sign the Petition–

Posted by Thunder Pig on October 4, 2007

One failure after another, Washington Democrats have built a record of legislative failure; one disappointment after another, Washington Democrats have failed to deliver results to the people who got them there.

This must be why, just nine months into their tenure, the Democrat-led Congress hit an 11% approval rating – that is the lowest in recorded history. Facing their record of failure, Washington Democrats decided to try and distract – and so they took a man’s words out of context, then they went on the attack.

It is at moments like these when we need to band together as conservatives and fight back. That is exactly what the Red State community and so many other conservatives around the country have been doing.

This issue is bigger than you or me, it is bigger than Rush Limbaugh. With the recent liberal effort to resurrect the “fairness doctrine,” we have to recognize that free speech — specifically, conservative free speech is under direct attack. These are issues that speak directly to the core of the modern conservative movement – are we going to allow ourselves to be pushed around by liberal extremists, or are we going to fight back?

Send Washington Democrats a message that their attempts to distract aren’t working – to stand with Rush Limbaugh against liberal attacks, go sign the petition at

Media Matters–Lefty Liars Lying How you can help stop these liars

Posted by Thunder Pig on October 1, 2007

Media Matters is at it again (as if they’ve ever stopped), and they have attacked Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly this past week.

And this time, they’ve tricked the Democrats in Congress to propose legislation condemning Rush Limbaugh, which must mean that Maha-Rushdie must’ve hit them where it hurts.

Here is a link to story ABC News did three days before Rush reported on the same subject: Phony Soldiers, and here is the intro by ABC Anchor Charles Gibson:

CHARLES GIBSON, HOST: (Voiceover) ‘A Closer Look” tonight at phony heroes. A famous recruiting slogan once touted the Army as a place to be all you can be. But increasingly, scam artists are posing as the war heroes they never were, claiming credit for acts of courage in Iraq and Afghanistan. Federal officials have launched a crackdown. Operation Stolen Valor they call it. Tonight, our Brian Ross investigates.

Newsbusters has an excellent post on Media Matters, and here is a sliver:

Last week, two of the leading conservatives in the media, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly, were dishonestly and unprofessionally attacked by press outlets that cherry-picked out of context remarks from lengthy radio broadcasts in order to vilify outspoken personalities whose opinions they don’t agree with.

Unfortunately, as folks around the country saw this play out on their television sets and newspapers, few were at all familiar with the organization behind the smear campaigns, or that this same group started the firestorm which ended with radio host Don Imus being terminated by NBC and CBS in April.

Maybe more importantly, even fewer citizens are aware that this organization is linked directly to Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as billionaire leftist George Soros.

For some background, John Perazzo wrote a column for FrontPage Magazine in July entitled “Media Matters: Hillary’s Lap Dogs,” that should be must-reading for all citizens interested in who’s targeting America’s leading conservative personalities :

Established in May 2004, Media Matters identifies itself as “a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media”—particularly information “that forwards the conservative agenda.” The organization was founded by the conservative-turned-leftist journalist David Brock, who says he created Media Matters “to combat” what he characterizes as the largely successful effort of “the right wing in this country” to “mov[e] the media itself to the right” and to “mov[e] American politics to the right.”

Source: Newsbusters (read the whole thing)

I had no idea this thing was going to blow up as big as it has, I guess there are more ignorant Democrats serving in the Congress than I had believed. I have prepared a post which will go up this morning before 9am where I expose the attack on Bill O’Reilly as a lie, and a smear taken out of context with edited audio from his Sept 19, 2007 show.

I also have the audio from the Rush Limbaugh show in question, but not enough time to take a look at the Media Matters version to see exactly where the edits ( if any ) took place.

See what appeasement gets you? You (the general public) fed Media Matters Don Imus, and now they are back, looking for another sacrifice. Are you going to let them take everyone else, before they come for you? I seem to remember that was how the Gestapo worked…they came for people no one really liked first (Don Imus, others). Now they are back for people they have been spreading lies about…how long will it be before they come for your Free Speech? When they do that (and they will), their will be no one left to defend you.

You can defend Limbaugh. You can defend Bill O’Reilly. You can make up for not defending the idiot Don Imus. There is strength in numbers.

Call your Congress Critter and demand that the Condemnation of Rush Limbaugh be dropped.
And go one step further, call for the investigation of Media Matters.

Stay tuned for my post exposing the Media Matters edited audio of Bill O’Relliy and Juan Williams taken out of context.

Media Matters is a corrupt organization that will lie to acheive it’s leftist agenda.

Remembering Tiananmen Square

Posted by Thunder Pig on June 5, 2007

I remember the students massacred at Tiananmen Square by the Chinese government. I also remember the weak response by the West in general and President George H.W. Bush in particular. Not one of the leaders of Western governments possessed an ounce of the courage that filled the students in that square.
I wonder how many were killed, how many still languish in prison? How many still perform hard labor?

A Photo Essay can be found at Christus Rex

The National Security Archives has a Declassified History

Wikipedia has a page as well.

I tend to have a visceral reaction to seeing someone living under oppression, and would like to see our government do more to spread the liberty that we enjoy here. My instinct is to oppose the strong centralized governments that are so effective at quashing people’s God-given Right to Free Speech. I salute the memoryu of the students at that Square, and hope that our people will display that kind of courage when our time comes to oppose an oppression here. The big difference here is that tens of millions will have weapons, and a few hundred thousand will have more than just sidearms and hunting rifles.
