The John Batchelor Show is Back !!!

77WABC announced today, the return of John Batchelor to the WABC lineup. John will take over the 7-10pm slot on Sunday night, which has been occupied by Brian Whitman.

Brian will continue with a variety of roles on WABC including frequent substitution assignments, and his comedy voice work for the Sean Hannity show. “Brian has worked for WABC since 1996, when he joined us on overnights at the age of 24, the youngest major market talk show host in America,” said WABC PD Phil Boyce. “Brian is a part of the WABC family and that will not change with this move,” Boyce continued. Brian is a much sought after morning show voice talent, with clients all over the country, as well as the Sean Hannity Show. Brian also will continue to host his regular weeknight show he co-hosts on KLSX-FM, the CBS owned talker in Los Angeles.

Batchelor hosted nights on WABC from the night after 9/11, till September of 2006 when his show was canceled by the ABC Radio networks. “I have wanted to find the right spot to bring John back for some time,” commented Boyce. “John’s insights into the political arena, and his fascinating take on world affairs has allowed him to build a legion of fans.” The John Batchelor Show will continue that theme, using all of John’s sources, his vast knowledge of history, and his unique take on current events.

This is very good news indeed. Whenever I have been pondering current events, and how things might fit together, I often wonder, What Would John Say?
Now, with many thanks to Phil Boyce, I will not have to wonder any longer.

ALERT: Boy Scout Troop Missing in Haywood County

(CNN) — Eleven members of a Boy Scout troop did not emerge
from a camping area in the mountains of western North Carolina as scheduled
Sunday evening, prompting an overnight search effort, local authorities said.

The Scouts were camping in southern Haywood County, North Carolina.

The eight scouts and three adult leaders from Troop 217 in Raleigh,
North Carolina, were on a weekend camping trip in the Black Balsam Gap area near
the Blue Ridge Parkway in southern Haywood County, according to Haywood County
sheriff’s dispatcher Michael Huffman.

Their vehicles were still in the
parking lot at the entrance to the campground Sunday evening, leading
authorities to suspect the scouts simply camped out for another night, Huffman
said.

Lisa Logan, whose husband is one of the scout leaders and son is a
scout, said she has “a complete peace that they’re fine.”

Plot to explode fuel tanks at JFK Airport disrupted – Four Islamic terrorists arrrested

2 June 2007: At least 3 of 4 Muslim terrorists, one who is a former airport worker at JFK, have been arrested for plotting to blow-up fueling areas at JFK Airport in New York, potentially setting off a massive explosion at the airport and potentially crippling air travel for some time and causing a conflagration of unprecedented proportions. Although considered a “domestic terror cell” it has international dimensions as two cell members were arrested in Trinidad, one was arrested in the New York area, and one suspect is believed to be a former member of parliament or government official from Guyana.

It was good while it lasted. Too bad it’s over.

Every great country must come to an end. In man’s history, the average age of a great civilization is about 200 years. America made it a bit longer, but now it’s time has come as well.

Now I don’t mean to say that overnight the place will suddenly cease to exist. However, the America that was created over 200 years ago is completely gone now. It’s been on a decline for some time, and this really is it. I remember well the celebrations of 1976 (though I was quite young) — and I would be willing to be there will be no celebration in 2076. The country has died.

I do not write this lightly, nor without great thought. I do not write this with joy or sarcasm. I write this, fervently believing that it is true, despite the rejections and declarations of many.

There were brief rays of hope that paused the decline of freedom and liberty. Ronald Reagan, from 1980-1988 worked hard and tirelessly to stop oppression and really gave hope to a lot of people. He renewed faith in America and in it’s people. But that was just an upward blip on the steady decline of the country. Under the leadership of Newt Gingrich, there was another upward tick for just a short time in 1994. This blip was smaller than the 80s, and shorter. But with the passage of global amnesty, the decline is complete. There is no hope for America.

Now I’m not saying I’m hopeless. I’m not feeling personally bad. But there is no hope for America today. America was built on a strong Christian work ethic. America was a great country once. It was built on rugged individualism — people worked hard and knew hard work would be rewarded. America was truly a shining light on a hill — a beacon of freedom around the world. America defeated Communism. America defeated Hitler and Nazi Germany when they wanted to rule the world. America had a real identity, and the whole world knew it. But that is to be no more.

My personal realization that we had lost our Republic was the lack of response to the murder of dozens of Americans at Waco [by the citizenry en masse and the other branches of government]. That was when I began digging caches. Our underwhelming response to 9/11 was another alarm. Amnesty for law-breaking Alien Invaders is just another increase in the volume of the alarm.
