Flight 93 Blogburst: Will There Be Congressional Investigations?

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 7, 2008

Pennsylvania is on fire. Tom Burnett’s color advertisement in the Somerset Daily American, asking the people of Somerset to protest the crescent memorial to Flight 93, raised a great deal of awareness. At least four television stations covered the controversy, and there were two news stories in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review alone.

Those who went on to read Alec Rawls’ more detailed advertisement (exposing the fraudulent Park Service investigation of the giant Mecca-oriented crescent) are burning mad, and are taking up Tom Sr.’s call for state and Congressional investigations. Word is that two Pennsylvania state representatives, one Democrat and one Republican, are hot enough to co-sponsor a resolution initiating a state investigation.

Romney Out? Romney Drops Out at CPAC

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 7, 2008

I just saw on Drudge that Romney is considering suspending his campaign, and he linked to a Time blog that speculates on that possibility that he will announce that at CPAC today…he is due to speak momentarily. I am looking for a live audio or video feed now…found it. Click here. Laura Ingraham is introducing him now…

He drops out. I will have the audio lifted out of my recording and posted as soon as I can.
Here is the speech…Laura Ingraham Introduces him:

The full text of the speech can be found at Free Republic.

**update** 3.15pm

Petulant Rumblings has captured part of the video of the withdrawal speech:

Archbishop of Canterbury: Sharia law in UK is ‘unavoidable’

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 7, 2008

The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK “seems unavoidable”.

Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4’s World at One that the UK has to “face up to the fact” that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.

Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.

For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court.

He says Muslims should not have to choose between “the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty”.

Britain is indeed becoming part of the ‘Eurabia’ predicted by Bat Yeor.

And how much longer before parts of the USA are declared ‘no-go’ zones for law enforcement, and given over to Sharia Law? Special religious accommodation for Muslim foot washing basins are already being installed by the government in public places and schools in the midwest today.

2008 Primary Updates

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 7, 2008

I have updated my National page at West Carolina Report, and will start on the others when I get to the office this morning, I overslept, and didn’t get up until 4.30 this morning. Michael Reagan was on a roll last night, and I couldn’t stop listening.

To sum up the info over there, Hillary has written her campaign a $5 million check, the Democrat Party Elites prepare to broker the convention, and tell Joe Lieberman that he is no lobger a super delegate. (Can you say…the fix is in?)

And the Liberal and Moderate Republicans basically tell the Conservative Republicans to shut up.

McCain receives an endorsement from a pro-choice (pro-murder) Republican group, and Illegals march on the left coast for their right to have driver’s licenses…don’t believe me? I have the video over there.

The Sun is Dimming and Scientists Fight for Funding to Study for Harbingers of New Ice Age

Posted by Thunder Pig on February 7, 2008

The sun is in a “funk”–unsure of what to do, when to kick into its new cycle: Solar Cycle 24.

The last such solar funk corresponded with a period of bitter cold that began around 1650 and lasted, with intermittent spikes of warming, until 1715. While there were competing causes for the climatic shift—including the Black Death’s depopulation of tree-cutting Europeans and, more substantially, increased volcanic activity spewing ash into the atmosphere—the sun’s lethargy likely had something to do with it.

…The planet’s climate is a messy picture, with all sorts of influences and feedback cycles that need to be taken into account. In order to build more accurate computer models, scientists need to understand both anthropogenic factors and the link between the sun and our planet, Tapping says. To help get at the sun’s influence, he and other researchers connect Earth’s temperature with historic sunspot records of sky watchers from Europe and China, as well as with carbon-14 isotopes—residue from cosmic rays delivered by the sun’s magnetic field—found in tree rings. To understand our role in climate change,” he says, “we need to understand the natural process.”….
