Have the Dimocrats Gone Mad, or Just Posturing?

Posted by Thunder Pig on May 8, 2007

A recent poll seems to indicate that 60% of Democrats believe that President George W. Bush had more to do with 9/11 than Saddam ‘The Butcher of Baghdad’ Hussein!!!

This is an alien concept to me, and I am a heavy consumer of science fiction going back to the early 70’s. I have read some very weird stuff. This beats all that with a stick.

I have a firm grasp on reality. I am beginning to believe in the concept of mass hysteria, a type of insanity that spreads just by hearing about it. A Vocal Virus. Eating away at your brain, until you become a pod person…blindly following the vomitus that passes for discourse. No wonder so many people I know are buying weapons, and burying them in the ground. Buying survival supplies, and training for guerrilla war. I admit to having made some preparations myself. But for me, it was a mostly harmless hobby, keeping my warfighting skills honed.

This latest story makes me realize that another American Civil War may be in the offing, and that is tragic. What happened to Critical Thinking Skills? Have I gone mad as well?

Ooops! Got so carried away, I forgot this part.
Or, are the Democrats (the majority, anyway) just saying that for political posturing purposes? Are they just messing with the pollsters?
I certainly hope so.

Or, is beginning to drive the Democrat Party bus?

Giuliani Gave to Planned Parenthood (At least 6 times!)

Posted by Thunder Pig on May 8, 2007

Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani in his campaign appearances this year has stated that he personally abhors abortion, even though he supports keeping a legal right to choose. But records show that in the ’90s he contributed money at least six times to Planned Parenthood, one of the country’s leading abortion rights groups and its top provider of abortions.

Federal tax returns made public by the former New York mayor show that he and his then-wife, Donna Hanover, made personal donations to national, state and city chapters of Planned Parenthood totaling $900 in 1993, 1994, 1998 and 1999.

Buh-Bye! Following the ejection of the annoying Rudybots from Free Republic, this is most welcome news, indeed. It should seal the fate of either Rudy or the GOP. Here is my reasoning on the matter:

This information should keep Rudy from winning the GOP Nomination because of the party plank regarding the sanctity of life. This man has given money to an organization responsible for the slaughter of millions of unborn children. His fake ‘discovery’ of strict constructionism is as fake as his abhorence to abortion. Almost all his judicial appointments to the judiciary before have been of liberal judges. I don’t expect that to change. Should enough be deceived into voting for Rudy, then there will be alot of GOP voters sitting on their hands, or voting as members of another party come November 2008.

Remember November! Remember November 2006..Rudy would be a fine cabinet member, perhaps in DHS, NID, or DoD, but not as the Chief Executive, nor as first in line.
